Graphics 1 Projects
Below are several projects I have designed and created as part of the Graphics 1 class that I was enrolled in for the fall of 2014.

Clip Art
The Clip Art project emphasized the use of basic geometric shapes in design. For this project, drafting tools were used to create original and recognizable images with simple geometric shapes.

Olympic Symbol
The Olympic Symbol project focused on using imagery to clearly communicate an idea. For this project, a vector illustration program was used to create a pictogram for an Olympic event.

Monogram
The Monogram project emphasized the use of glyphs and letterforms in graphic designs. For this project, a vector illustration program was used to create a monogram of an initial.

Maze
The Maze project focused on the basics of desktop publishing and designing for a demographic. For this project, a vector illustration program was used to create a maze for children ages 4 to 7.

Logo
The Logo project focused on combining elements of desktop publishing with principles of design. For this project, a vector illustration program was used to create a logo for a fictitious company.

Hand-Cut Screen Print
The Hand-Cut Screen Print project introduced the printing aspect of graphic production. This project was made using a hand-cut film, printing screen, and water-based ink.

T-Shirt Screen Print
The T-Shirt Screen Print project continued the use of the screen printing method. The Photographic Indirect method was used to create the film instead of the hand-cut method.

Notepad
The Notepad project introduced the offset printing method and was the culminating project of the Graphics 1 course. The notepad was designed using digital software and printed on an offset printing press.

Event Poster
The Event Poster project involved the use of graphic design principles such as text, graphics, color, and layout to produce an attention-grabbing poster that advertises an event.

The Push Pin Tutorial project was created by following the instructions of an online tutorial for the Adobe Illustrator software.
